Altja – a single peasant bar among the manors

If you drive around Estonia, you can't help the idea that Estonians try to hide their origin. There many manors carefully restored and prepared for moving in, if possible. But there seem to be too few restored farms, even by single buildings.

There are plenty of bars by our roads but the food offered there is a separate and not a very pleasant topic. Altja Bar is an encouraging exception. The atmosphere is authentic, the food genuine and the parking lot in front of the bar never empty of cars.

Altja Bar offers a good cultural supplement to the restaurants in the surrounding manors and diversifies the variety in a pleasant way. Ancient peasant food is “more competitive” than ever before.
