Novell – playful and intriguing place for gourmands.
In Novell, there is just a thin line between playing with food and not playing with food. Anyway, it is no way a place with a dead serious or classical menu. It is interesting to experiment and exprerimentation is the thing that the chefs of Novell have been heartily engaging in. First, there was Andrus Laaniste, and now Priit Toomits. Both chefs are daring experimentors. And why not, since cooking is a creative activity, not piecework.
The menu of Novell has everything but the kitchen sink in it. One can find spiciness characteristic of India, the mind-boggling luxury of Las Vegas or dishes usually offered in quay restaurants in San Francisco. Yet apart from the high-flown foreign names, all the dishes contain raw materials of Estonian origin.
