Ö – surprisingly Estonian

The best Estonian restaurant for the second year in a row. In fact, nothing has changed in Ö over the two years. And it must not change since Ö has been selected as the best restaurant thanks to the enormous work capacity and dedication of the chef and its uniquely Estonian conception.

Indeed, such Estonian food is not available anywhere else. And the food is surprisingly Estonian in nature – it is so modern that if the menu does not say so, it would never occur to one that it is actually Estonian cuisine. And it is. Everything from cocktails to the desserts served with coffee is of Estonian origin.

Some foreign or adapted words in the menu (chips, konsomee, tortellinid, tartelette) do not come off as disturbing as it is often the case with Estonian cuisine. The words provide a clue for understanding that the finest modern food is actually of ancient Estonian origin.
