Egoist – ten years with the same team
Estonians have the penchant for everything new. On the face of it, there is nothing new in Egoist. The restaurant is now ten years old and has welcomed 60,000 guests during the years. And has done this with the same staff all along!
But still. Vladislav Djatšuk, chef of Egoist made it as the first representative of Estonia to Bocuse D'Or, the most prestigious cuisine contest in the world. He competed so well that Estonia was invited to the next contest as well. Last year the 50 Best Restaurants listed Egoist among the recommended restaurants in north-eastern Europe side by side with Swedish and Finnish restaurants.
In our local ranking Egoist climbed up a place compared to the previous year. So much for this penchant for everything new.
