Balthasar is the only garlic restaurant of the region. It is situated in the oldest pharmacy of Europe, right at the Town Hall Square in Tallinn. The many centuries old house well suited for a restaurant where practically all dishes contain garlic. However, this should not scare anyone off because the dishes can also be ordered without garlic. But then, garlic ice cream – it sounds weird but tastes heavenly!
One should absolutely try the restaurant’s in-house garlic liquor. Advice about drinks can be obtained from the sommelier who has been declared the winner of the Estonian sommelier competition for several times. Kristjan Markii won the title also this year. The restaurant's exceptional wine card is an evidence of this.
A popular dining place among both locals and tourists. Besides the inventive food, you will have a splendid view over the Town Hall and the square. A good place for entertaining one’s guests.
