A wall of the restaurant is made up of a medieval town wall. Tallinn is a medieval city. The theme can be used in several ways. Though the interior includes theatrical elements and attendants are clad in monk’s attire (in the Middle Ages, there was a monastery here), there is nothing gimmicky about the food.
The food harks back to the Middle Ages through a ubiquitous use of cheese. The praiseworthy and versatile raw material with a history at least as long as that of the room where you sit at the restaurant.
But there is no traditional cheese cart at the restaurant. Cheese is known to be very nutritious and the menu includes many interesting dishes that present the various tastes of cheeses much better than a cheese selection from a cheese cart.
