Noir – so black, so black!

If the black door to the courtyard at Ülikooli Street 7 is open, Noir is open as well. A black carpet leads to the courtyard decked with black tables and chairs in summer. In the corridor of the house, one can see other colours as well but in the rooms of Noir black is dominant again. Everything is black, up to the details of the much-talked-about toilet.

The menu comes on golden paper, allowing one to expect food of the same hallmark. And it is so. The food does not compete with the interior design for prominence. One is more likely to look around than at the plate. Yet, one's mouth does not complain either.

To top it off, there are chic wines with their taste almost like softened by the ambience. In Noir, black is not a sombre colour at all. It is sophisticated and soothing. Noir is special. Later on one first thinks of the mood and only then about the food and drink enjoyed there.
