Controvento – an Italian worthy of respect

A walk in the Old Town of Tallinn is apt to make one think that the Italians are the second-largest ethnic group after Estonians in Tallinn. There are Italian eating places galore! Controvento is already an old player among them. And the old are respected in restaurant business as well.

Ambitious up-and-comers have not been able to threaten the status of the old player. Virtually nothing has changed in Controvento over the years. Its loyal customers have probably grown so attached to Controvento that there is nothing else they would wish for!

The narrow street leading to the restaurant sparks a special sense of expectation. An expectation for something old and timeless. Controvento lives up to the expectation.
