Alexander rules for the second year in a row

The first year when Alexander, the restaurant at Pädaste, won the title of the best restaurant in Estonia, was truly impressive. An abundance of praise from major foreign reviewers, acceptance to several prestigious restaurant guides, a performance in front of an international audience in Paris, another local Chef of the Year title…

However, all of this may not be enough when there is more than one contender for the throne. This time, it still was and Alexander took home the prize it certainly deserved. But the real winners are the restaurant-goers, since the struggle among the restaurant elite has not been this fierce in any of the previous years. 

The fame of Estonia as a land of good food has spread far and wide. Personal opinions and evaluations are not enough anymore. To be at the top in Estonia, you must achieve at least noteworthiness anywhere else.
