Ö is holding on
The best restaurant in Estonia for two years in a row, then the second and this year the fourth. Can this be regarded as a fall? Interpreting the results of any lists is highly subjective and always depends on the person doing the interpreting.
The objective interpretation of this year's list shows that there were four equal candidates for the first place, Ö being one of them. Look at the same list again and you see how the leaving of a great chef from the restaurant automatically means that the restaurant no longer achieves the best position. But Ö continues to be at the top and everyone else must keep an eye on the restaurant just as much as before.
Recently, Ö was able to cater for the needs of a Michelin-starred restaurant, demonstrating that a fine Estonian restaurant can develop good cooks and bring up new chefs.
